Next up in our Meet the Team series, is Graham Alt, our hard-working Technical Team Leader. Graham’s role involves leading a team of technical specialists who help resolve issues that customers may have with Invacare products. Graham says “our products provide mobility to a wide variety of people, and sometimes they have issues, which is quite a problem for them.”

Graham’s favourite part of his role is fixing these issues as quickly as possible so as to make a positive impact on the customer's lives. “We try to make them feel like they are the most important customer we’ve ever had and want to resolve their issue quickly. Being able to help people with varying degrees of disability and making a difference in their lives has made me a more appreciative person. I think the culture across the company is much the same - we all want to help everyday people have the best life possible.”

Graham, who grew up in Sydney, says that his Tafe teacher of two years and his parents, were the most inspiring people in his life, and instilled in him a can-do attitude, clearly shown by his motto of “can’t is not in my dictionary!”

Graham’s trade is Motor Body Building, but he’s worked in sales, management, and has previously been a business owner. He has 14 years at Invacare under his belt, which has helped him garner very in-depth product range knowledge.

When not at work Graham loves to spend time with his two daughters (“they are my life”), go on mountain bike rides, race remote control cars, and have weekends away to relax and unwind. Graham says “being able to think outside the box, a can do it attitude and the desire for improvement is what breeds success.”
