Meet Krishna Prasad, Invacare Country Manager in India and South Asia.
Krishna’s role at Invacare provides him with many opportunities to engage with our customers, where he identifies products that both improve their lives and delight them. “My clients feel very comfortable sharing their challenges and pain points as I am able to make their lives better. I really enjoy developing a strong rapport and relationship with customers. It’s a favourite part of my job.”
Krishna likes to take a consultative and empathetic approach with his clients, offering solutions that will best fit their individual challenges. “I keep in continuous contact with them until their issue is resolved, building trust and confidence, and helping them realise the Invacare motto of “Yes, You Can”. I enjoy making sure that my clients really can do what they want, that life is truly as accessible as possible.” This attitude is exemplified in Krishna’s favourite quote: Arise awake and stop not until the goal is achieved - Swami Vivekananda
Previous roles have prepared Krishna well for his current work at Invacare, as he brought with him a rich and extensive array of experience – Krishna has many years of senior management experience in marketing, business development and customer relations in the medical equipment industry for over 30 years with companies – Wipro, Stryker, B Braun & Medtronic.
When asked about his current role, Krishna says that he enjoys both the freedom and engagement it offers. “My superiors have empowered me to make autonomous decisions to offer appropriate solutions/products and therefore I can make my customer’s lives better in a very real way. Invacare has a wonderful open culture for employees, viewing us as valuable resources and treating us with dignity and respect.”
Krishna was born and raised in India and grew up in a multi-cultural society. “I lived in a diverse ethnic and cosmopolitan environment, then studied my Masters in Physics and a Diploma in Marketing Management. I am very much influenced and motivated by Saint Swami Vivekananda and inspired by the leadership qualities of both Steve Jobs and Warren Buffet.” Krishna is driven by values such as excellence, strong ethics, integrity and trust.
When not at work you may find Krishna eating his favourite food - Indian bread (roti) with lentils. He also enjoys reading books about management and philosophy. “My favourite author is Robin Sharma, author of “The Monk who Sold his Ferrari” and I also enjoyed Spencer Johnson’s “Who Moved my Cheese”.
Krishna is passionate about yoga, and practices regularly. “Yoga gives mental and physical strength, along with relaxation. I spend my leisure time listening to music and am a singer of Bollywood numbers.” Krishna also likes to catch up with his friends on weekends and go for walks.
