Meet Rattanakorn Bunpatothamrong, Invacare’s Business Development Manager in Thailand.
Rattanakorn Bunpatothamrong loves her dynamic work team in Thailand. Her role involves finding new products and managing sales to customers as well as keeping them updated. Rattanakorn helps her clients match products that will achieve their desired lifestyle and fit within their budgets.
A degree in Humanities with a major in English helped Rattanakorn enter the medical equipment industry 10 years ago and her experience is largely working in sales with products such as wheelchairs, hospital beds, mattresses and patient lifters.
When asked what she most enjoys about her role at Invacare, Rattanakorn said, “I get a lot of support from my peers, we all support each other. And we all strive to give our customers great products to enhance their quality of life.” Rattanakorn says that she also enjoys working to provide for her family.
Rattanakorn’s driving values include honesty, determination, and having a positive outlook on life. She loves to be solution-oriented. “These are the values I strive to achieve and teach my children.” In fact, her favourite quote exemplifies these characteristics: Never give up and live sufficiently. “King Rama IV played a huge role in my life as I learned from his examples and values about being a good Thai citizen, helping people and caring for the environment.”
Rattanakorn, who grew up in Bangkok, recalls that her favourite food as a child was Nam Prik Kape and Tom Yum Kung (spicy prawn soup), two local dishes. “I enjoy eating and socialising with my friends and family which means I also must spend a lot of time in the gym to maintain my figure! Sometimes up to 4 hours at a time.”
Outside of work, Rattanakorn enjoys watching movies with her children and listening to podcasts: “I enjoy the Gary Vee podcast for his knowledge on life and business. I am also a fan of the Goal Digger podcast with Jenner Kutcher.” Rattanakorn also enjoys reading Harry Potter and other English books to improve her English, then reads the same books in Thai books to help her understand the stories completely.
