Introducing Steve Burgess, Business Leader Customer Power at Invacare
Steve Burgess, our Business Leader Custom Power, is a fantastic salesperson who loves his job.
Steve's favourite part of his role at Invacare is the interactions with the customers, seeing their joy and changing their lives for the better. Steve said “I just love setting up chairs for people who have been injured, maybe just out of the Spinal Cord Unit at the hospital. I really want to make a positive difference.
How is tech increasing accessibility?
When we imagined the future when we were kids, we pictured flying cars, robots at our beck and call, meals in pill form, jet-packs, and colonies on other planets. Future technology made life seem so much easier with science fiction films like Star Wars fuelling our imagination at all the technological possibilities of not only spaceships and light sabres, but also medical advances like Darth Vader’s ventilator and Luke Skywalker’s bionic hand.
Introducing Graham Alt, our Technical Team Leader
Next up in our Meet the Team series, is Graham Alt, our hard-working Technical Team Leader. Graham’s role involves leading a team of technical specialists who help resolve issues that customers may have with Invacare products. Graham says “our products provide mobility to a wide variety of people, and sometimes they have issues, which is quite a problem for them.”

International Stop Pressure Injury Day
Worldwide STOP Pressure Injury (Ulcer) day started in 2012 following a meeting of Spanish speaking wound care organisations who agreed and signed the Declaration of Rio. This initiative aims to increase awareness of pressure injuries amongst the public, medical professionals and politicians. The European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel (EPUAP), acknowledging and applauding this work, joined and encouraged countries internationally to participate.
